The exhibition will be the first opportunity to introduce Lucie Koldová and her work more widely to a domestic audience. The project is planned as a complex work of an authorial team made up of prominent creative personalities. In addition to the designer Lucie Koldová, the exhibition is completed by cooperation with the photographer Alžběta Jungrová, graphic designer Zuzana Lednická (Studio Najbrt) and curator Michaela Kádnerová.
The architectural concept is the work of Lucie Koldová's studio and is based on the laws imposed by the complicated space of the skylight. This is newly defined by distinctive elements - walkways over the covered hall. The goal is to bring visitors to these footbridges and surround them with objects.
The intention is to give the viewer the pleasure of moving beyond the external form and to see Lucie Koldová's design as a varied and joyful creation and an adventurous journey to the optimal solution.
Carefully selected pieces represent the designer's ultimate work. The set of signal works consists of luminaires, with which it is most often associated, but also representative furniture pieces, which present her as a versatile author. The aim of the exhibition is to look "beyond the object" thanks to effective deconstruction of the exhibited pieces, which in components are brought down from the imaginary sky of the skylight to unite in one whole in front of the viewer' eyes.
