Hang in There

The Hang in There project presents the work of the students and graduates at the Studio of Fashion Design of the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague. A collection of six original and distinctive approaches in six model situations personifies attire through a simulated performative installation. An emphasis on the originality of the individual designers is paradoxically suggestive of a shared approach to fashion design. The installation of the individual collections invokes an atmosphere of their being in a natural environment which is characteristic of their bearer. The attire blends in with our intimate space, turning into a component part of it. No longer does it fulfil merely the primary function of protecting the human body. It becomes an extension of our personality.
