The Weekend Cottagers collection (2015) is an expression of being fascinated by weekend country cottage architecture, where we build our own small worlds and to where we escape from everyday reality, a reflection of a craving for nature, freedom and the need for self-realization. It is homage to the Czech phenomenon of weekend cottage activities. Tereza R. Kladošová works with a traditional technique of knitting, combining machine knitting with hand crocheting. A collage of concrete motifs and fragments gave this collection shape and atmosphere. Nostalgic memories are masterfully mixed with humour and exaggeration, inspired by the post-modern theme of kitsch.
