The exhibition will present an outstanding figure of Czech modernist architecture and graphic design. Today, in spite of his international renown Zdeněk Rossmann is appreciated mainly for his work in graphic design. The present exhibition aims to make our knowledge of his work complete by examples covering the whole range of his output which document Rossmann´s privileged position in Czech post-war avant-garde and in the international network of modernist graphic designers.
This exhibition project highlights the most remarkable of Rossmann´s works in the areas of stage design, architecture, photography, typography, poster and book design and will offer the visitor an insight into the suprisingly broad scope of the media that this modernist designer mastered.
