The exhibition presents artworks from the 7th year of the international craft design competition, organised by The Centre for Folk Art Production (ÚĽUV) in co-operation with the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic.
The aim of the competition is to establish a platform for a creative comparison of new pieces of applied art, handicraft and design inspired by traditional arts and crafts, techniques, selected materials, original utility values and aesthetics.
The exhibition presents works by 98 artists from the V4 countries, shortlisted by the International Jury in Section A - producers, designers, artists and university students, and in Section B - secondary school students. The artworks are divided into four categories according to the material: wood, metal, textile and ceramic. The fifth category is open, allowing for experiments.
