Photographs by Lukáš Jasanský and Martin Polák

Although Martin Polák and Lukáš Jasanský have been working together since the end of the 1980s and have become some of the most influential artists of their generation, their output has only been presented in fragments through isolated photographic cycles. The exhibition in the Museum of Applied Arts of the Moravian Gallery in Brno assembles, for the first time, examples from all of their original series along with a cycle created exclusively for this exhibition. Polák and Jasanský will be shown as artists who at the very beginning of their careers reinvented the Czech approach to using photography and in each of their ensuing works redefined their points of departure.
