Friedrich Kiesler (1890-1965) was an Austrian-American sculptor, stage designer, theorist and architect. Josef Hoffmann invited him to work on the exhibition design for the Austrian Pavilion at the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris in 1925. He left for the USA in 1926 and collaborated on the building of the Shrine of the Book in Jerusalem (1947-1956), preserving the Dead Sea Scrolls.
