Disegno. Drawings from the Estate of the Painter Juda Tadeáš Supper

The collections of the Moravian Gallery contain an exquisite set of drawings from the estate of the Baroque painter Juda Tadeáš Supper (1712-1771). The exhibition in the Kabinet will show mainly drawings which served as designs for the liturgical furnishings of churches, such as pulpits, monstrances, crosses, tabernacles, reliquaries, etc. The artist behind the drawings, unless it was Supper himself, is so far unknown to us. Style-wise they range between a special form of Mannerism applied to the figures and Rococo used in the decorative element.
