The Bohemian-Moravian Glassworks (ČMS) came into existence in 1934, and the production programme followed the previous times, when the firm was owned by the company S. Reich & Co. The 1940s in the history of the ČMS did not enjoy the period of prosperity, yet the manufacture in the firm's enterprises continued as the company had been declared war-important; despite the bad situation at that time, the company made an endeavour to manufacture the pieces of the craft-quality and artistic value.
