The project will present the poetic foundation of this important film director’s vision of the world through a selection of photographs which have been made unsystematically, yet continually, since the 1940s.
Private affairs, portraits of friends and shots invoking the rhapsodic dimension of the film art of Vojtěch Jasný will be shown to the public for the first time. The exhibition which will mark the director's eighty-fifth birthday is also a deliberation on the place of photography and its function in human life.
