The Language of Flowers

Flowers have accompanied human culture since time immemorial. They inspired artists of antiquity as well as masters of Baroque stilllifes and all the arts and crafts disciplines have generously borrowed from their variety and beauty. The flower has also become a capricious accessory and indelible part of period fashions, textile patterns, jewellery and furniture pieces. Painters used them to decorate the smooth surfaces of glass and porcelain.
