Journal of a Voyage

The Erwin Dubský Collection: Photographs from Japan and China in the 1870s

In 1876, Erwin Dubský brought back from his voyage around the world sixty trunks filled with beautiful artifacts and hundreds of photographs. The exhibition will offer the very best of his collections, which will be presented to the public for the very first time. Visitors can appreciate lovely black-and-white albumen prints depicting Japanese and Chinese ports and prominent temples and shrines.

The Far East will be shown as it appeared 130 years ago.
