Vladimír Kokolia: intervence v expozici ART IS HERE

The permanent exhibition ART IS HERE currently features works by Vladimír Kokolia, the latest winner of the Michal Ranný Prize. The prize is awarded to eminent artists whose approach to art influences the younger generations.

The painter Vladimír Kokolia (*1956, Brno) entered the Czech art scene in the late 1970s. In 1990 he was the first winner of the Jindřich Chalupecký Prize, in 2012 he received the prestigious Dalibor Chatrný Prize, awarded to the younger generation of artists and art theorists by the generation of older artists. Vladimír Kokolia heads the graphic art studio of the Prague Academy through which many exceptional artists shaping contemporary Czech art have passed, including, for example, Kateřina Šedá.

You are cordially invited to the festive award of the Michal Ranný Prize. The gala evening will include an awarding ceremony and the presentation of the winner's work.

The prize is announced and awarded by the Friends of the Moravian Gallery association in collaboration with the Moravian Gallery, in memory of Michal Ranný, a leading protagonist of Czech art of the 1960s and 1970s.
