30.6. 2018 se zavírá stálá expozice v Místodržitelském paláci
June 30, 2018 is closing a permanent exhibition in the Governor's Palace called Art from Gothic to the 19th century.
By the end of June, you can see the most valuable exhibits of European art from the collections of the Moravian Gallery in Brno from the 14th to the 19th century, complemented by works borrowed from church property and collections of other institutions.
(Joža Úprka, Jízda králů, 1897)
The reconstruction will be only on this permanent exhibition, other places in Governor's Palace will not be disturbed. You can still enjoy the atmosphere in the Morgal Café, the ArtMap bookstore, the rich program in the courtyard or the new exhibition by Josef Šima,The road to the Le Grand Jeu.
You can look forward to part of the new exposition by the end of 2019, the rest will be completed in 2020. The new exposition will be a clever interconnection of free arts used from the Middle Ages to 1914, to be followed by other exhibitions in other buildings of the Moravian Gallery (in the Pražák Palace of Free Arts, in the Museum of Decorative Arts). Thanks to the new exhibition, we will be able to show the widest part of the collection of the Moravian Gallery from the Middle Ages to the present day, both in terms of both free and applied art, design and architecture.
