Výstava představuje jednu z nejvýznamnějších událostí Moravy 18. stol.: slavnost korunovace zázračného obrazu P. Marie Svatotomské, doprovázené vedle bohoslužeb uměleckou dekorací a ohňostrojem.
The exhibition covers the formal Crowning of the Miraculous Picture of the Virgin Mary of St. Thomas Church, a major event in 18th century Moravia which was accompanied by religious services, splendid decorations and fireworks. It is recorded in drawings and engravings from the property of the MG, as well as by prints preserved in the Moravian Provincial Library. A silver altar in the Old Brno church, and a series of precious from the Augustinian monastery, bear witness of the celebration and its spectacular artistic rendition, presented to the public in its full scope for the first time at the show.
